Session cookies allow AlpacaNation to remember your identity while you are logged into your account.  Without session cookies enabled on your browser, you will not be able to log into AlpacaNation.  Unlike typical cookies, session cookies are only temporary and are not saved on your computer.  The session cookie is created when you log into AlpacaNation and is erased when you leave the Web site.  None of your information is saved or tracked by the session cookie.  It primarily consists of a random number used to identify your unique session while logged into AlpacaNation.  You can accept session cookies by following the instructions below.

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer (IE):

    1. Select "Tools" from the IE menu
    2. Within the tools drop down menu, 
        select "Internet Options"
    3. On the Internet Tools box, select the tab 
        called "Privacy" (in IE v6.0)
    4. On the Privacy tab, click and drag the slider 
        down until the privacy policy is set to 
        "Medium High" (For IE v5.5 go to the "Security"
        tab, click "Custom Level" and enable session
        cookies)
    5. Click "OK" and try logging in to AlpacaNation.

To enable cookies in Netscape (v6.0):

    1. Select "Tasks" from the Netscape menu
    2. Within the Tasks drop down menu, 
        select "Privacy and Security"
    3. On the Privacy and Security submenu, select 
        "Cookie Manager"
    4. On the Cookie Manager submenu, select the 
        option to "Allow Cookies from this Site"
    5. Click "OK" and try logging in to AlpacaNation.

Cookies allow AlpacaNation to remember your user information and allow you to access your account information without going thru the Sign In page.  Without cookies enabled on your browser, you will not be able to use the 4 week signin feature.  These cookies are saved on your computer if you check the box and expire in 4 weeks.  If you decide you do not want to use this feature, you can log out of AN and all AN cookies will be removed. You can accept cookies by following the instructions below.
