Maple Brook Emilie is the highest-end female we have ever had at High Meadow. And we have some very nice ones; but she is in a class by herself. Out of the highly respected Maple Brook Farm, she is a top daughter of the world-famous PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, the top selling $600,000, full- Accoyo herdsire, co-owned by Double 'O Good Alpacas and Maple Brook.

In fact, Mike Tierney states, in the 2006 National AOBA Auction catalog- "... (she is)the best Royal Fawn daughter born on our farm to date. When we selected our show string for this year, Emilie was our first choice and she remains on the top of our show string." Very strong praise, indeed. At the time of the auction she was only nine months old and destined for greatness in the show ring. You can see her ribbons below. At every show she attended there was a line of people waiting to look at her fleece! Her fleece is very bright, with fine, high frequency crimp. Her micron count, in 2006, was a stunning 16.2 3.6 22.2 0.7 and as a dark fawn!!!

We have had four crias from her so far, including two herdsires, one resulting from a breeding to Bueno (at $10,000!!!)- Tai-Pan ; and a gorgeous herdsire named Jay Gatsby out of Peruvian Jeremiah, one of the top studs in the country. Gatsby has already won 5 Championships! Then there was Pandora- 4 purple banners so far!!

When you have a female of these bloodlines and this quality, breeding decisions are very difficult. There are not many studs in America good enough for her (no, Emilie is a down to earth girl; it's her owners that feels this way!). We chose MFI Peruvian Jeremiah, two years ago, likely the top male from Magical Farms' famous "Herdsire Row", and 2008 Futurity light and dark champ whose breedings are limited to five a year.

Emilie is just seven years old and has a long career ahead of her as a mother. She is expensive; but the best usually are. Her first four crias are incredible!! She could single-handedly elevate your program!!
