| | | Solana is a full Peruvian pure suri imported in 1995. She came to us from Latah Creek Alpacas. She gave birth to her cria by General Fairfax; a stunning suri male named Lukas weighing in at 20.3 lbs at birth, with very high luster. The birth was easy, 20 minutes from start to finish, and she has plenty of milk. She's in robust good health.
Solana is a very attentive mom and her full Peruvian suri boy cria Lukas is thriving!

| | | General Fairfax is proven in the show ring and has also distinguished himself in fleece shows. His sire Tagi, an Inca son, is a multiple champion suri male who has thrown only suri cria. His dam Duena is a statuesque suri female with very high luster. Duena has always had plenty of milk and robust cria, traits we like to see in the pedigree of breeding males.
Fairfax has the traits we most like to see in suris - luster, brilliant shiny luster and uniform fineness. His luster shines both in the halter ring and in the fleece show. Such luster is our goal for every cria born on our farm. His locks are the Accoyo-style lock which is flatter, not twisted to the skin. Highly twisted locks are lovely to look at, but must be ripped apart in the milling process. That's why the Accoyo locks, developed by Don Julio Barreda, are flat, not twisted, for the optimum end use of milling for the textile industry.
