She is A Blue Ribbon maroon to boot. In fact her maroon herdsire brothers are also, a first at Mapaca for her brother Niceros, and a first at the AOBA Nationals for her brother Ravi Divine. And that is just on her mom’s side. On her father’s side, well, how many blue ribbon offspring and color champions? TOO MANY TO LIST! Bacchante has butter soft fleece whose rich color looks as if you are holding a cup of red wine in the sky. All this AND she is a NERUDA daughter also! WOW. Bacchante's mom is still out at Patagonia, and has produced nothing but true maroon.
When the judge Kristen Burhman reached into Baccante's fleece she actually closed her eyes with delight at the feel of her fleece. She then called the assistant judge over to show him also. Although BRIO is A MAROON/GREY in color, he has "PURE" GREY GENETICS on both sides of his pedigree. BRIO will be a wonderful male to breed to gray females in order to get his extremely fine fleece with its extremely tactile crimp into the line of your grey cria. His dam, BACCHANTE, is displaying lingering fineness in her fleece so we expect the same from BRIO. BRIO'S GENETICS ARE VERY IMPRESSIVE!
