Laurel
White, 807392, Bolivian
Laurel is a daughter of Acero Marka's Mr. Know It All, an incredible Bolivian male standing stud at Ameripaca. He is renowned for his density and he appears in the pedigrees of many quality males and females, including Emerald Farm's Orlando Cloud.
Laurel was one of our foundation females and what a start she gave us!
Challenger is extraordinary! His color is glorious, his conformation is impeccable, his bone is heavy and his fiber is dense. A full Peruvian male of this caliber with such extreme color is a rare treasure!
Challenger settles females with ease and his offspring have been winning in the show rings (80% female!!) all over the United States; his reputation is outstanding and well deserved. He has proven over and over that he throws fabulous color, perfect conformation and superior staple length.
Challenger is once again available for outside breedings and is known for settling his females quickly. His cria are know for their wonderful disposition as well as their perfect conformation. He even throws his own rare hue. Challenger offspring are always quick to sell - we have yet to hold on to one! Looking for show stopping cria? Call and put Challenger into your breeding program!
"Lacey" is one of our rock solid foundation females. The daughter of an elegant Bolivian dam and an AOBA Nationals blue ribbon dark rose grey Peruvian herdsire, Royal Peruvian Challenger, and the granddaughter of Mr. Know It All, Lacey is a true-blue American beauty.
Lace is covered head-to-toe in pearlescent, crimpy fiber. At her first shearing she produced 8.5# of fiber, 5# from the blanket alone, and continues to wow us with her fiber production each year. Lacey's histogram, at 5 yrs, increased only 2 microns from her tui count, while her SD and CV have decreased. She's still giving us 4.5 to 5# of blanket fiber.
Lacey has had six cria four females and two males. All births have been trouble free and each cria robust and vigorous. Her son, Sitka, out of Mr. Golden Boy, took first place honors at Alpaca Affair, in both fleece and halter for an over all first place, with the judge exclaiming that his placement was a "no brainer." He has been sold and has begun his breeding career at Calisto Alpacas in Oregon.
Her 2008 daughter, out of Fandango's Masterpiece Vermeer, ribboned in every show she entered... all at Level IV shows and all with 11 or more in the class. She's eye candy!
Although still young, reproductively sound and looking like a two year old, Lacey's generosity has earned her an early retirement. She will live out her days here as an auntie. She's unflappable and easy going. Every farm needs at least one like her.
