Tomasia is the sweetheart of the ranch and the senior member of the team!!! She is a solid producer of many ribbon winning offspring. To top it off, she is due with a 2x Reserve Color Champion, Dundee's Katmandu's cria in the spring of 2010!
Tomasia is a medium silver grey/rose grey/maroon with black/grey on both her sires and dams side. Shes an excellent mother with plenty of milk and has had six beautiful girls and three spectacular males. Her crias have incredible fleece and perfect conformations.
Her offsprings crias are now taking blue ribbons at shows. With the history of her crias and "grand-crias" winnings, this makes her a strong asset to our foundation herd!
His progeny are winning big and commanding good prices (including one of the top sellers at Futurity). Genetically it appears that he is 100% Pure Alpaca with no DNA markers for Llama. Perhaps that explains his ability to throw vicuna fineness. His crias are some of the best we've produced, many in the 15 & 16 micron range. Breed him to grey; you get grey! Snowmass describes him and his full brother as "our 2 most influential fine fiber production studs". We feel so fortunate to have been able to obtain him; thank you Skinner family! We were looking for unique lineage and ultimate top quality. He is sire to Snowmass Silver Signature, (featured in Making of Champions II), whose breedings are sold out. Royal Flush was on Snowmass Alpacas Private Reserve herdsire list until he came to Texas. His production is phenomenal. Snowmass thinks so highly of this male that they reserved future breedings to him.
Micron Count 2009: 21.5 micron - sorted as a WL2 with a score of 8 out of 10 for brightness and 7 out of 10 for uniform of lock/crimp style! 2010: 22.0 microns-very consistent! 2011: 25.76 microns 2012: AFD 24.0; SD 5.0; CV 21.0; CF 91.5
Royal Flushs Annie Duke (w/cria) (W/male cria & bred!)
Annie is our spunky brown female with black points sired by the Multi-Champion and Award winning Snowmass Royal Flush - a Full Peruvian dark rose grey who Snowmass considered to be one of their top fine fiber production males before he left their program and came to Texas.
Annie gets her soft, lustrous fleece from both sides of her pedigree At 14 years of age, her mother still carries an incredible 23 micron and at five years of age, her sire was also in the 23 micron range. Genetically, Royal Flush appears to be 100% Pure Alpaca with no DNA markers for Llama. Perhaps that explains his ability to throw vicuna fineness, which Annie is exhibiting in her body style and high frequency crimp.
February 28th, 2012 Annie became a Mom for the first time! She gave birth to a GORGEOUS dark fawn, 19 pound, bouncing baby girl (the sire being Delphi's Levi, an Avatar son). Annie is an excellent mother and has plenty of milk! Her cria is large boned, long staple length and very, very fine! Her crias histogram is a 17.1 micron with a 2.9 SD. WOW!!!!!!!!
Annie was bred to our Misty Ridge Blaze of Glory. April 20th, 2013 she gave birth to a "whopping" 20 pound boy.....pure white with incredible fleece! Big boned, dense and "popcorny" fleece......built like a rock! So thrilled....we think this may be one of the best crias born at our ranch..............
Annie comes with her male cria at side AND will be bred back to Delphi's Levi (an Avatar son) - thus making her a 3 in one package for one great price!!!
