| | | Calista is a beautiful granddaughter of P. Pluro and is one of our very best colored foundation females. You would be hard pressed to find a better breeding female when it comes to confirmation, fleece, and breeding capability. She has a fine fleece with great coverage. Her light brown female 2005 cria, Ion's Beauty, out of Ion is nothing but amazing (Beauty got a 2nd place at TxOLAN 06, a 4th at MOPACA 06, 3rd at GWAS 06, and 1st @ ABR's Fall Fest 06). Beauty also has nice coverage and is uniform throughout. Calista was bred back to SA Peruvian Odessey on 7 Jun 05 for a May 2006 female cria we named Blackforest's Hot Cocoa. Her color is essentially a "hot cocoa" dark brown color. Hot Cocoa has placed in several shows both in Halter and Fleece and we currently have listed on our Open Female Price Listing for a very reasonable price. Calista was bred to Challenge for last year's male cria which we named Blackforest's Red Beard. Red Beard is a multi-pinto but his blanket is a s | |

| | | Equilizer levels the playing field! A very photogenic male, Equilizer blends a daughter of Accoyo Legacy (who sold 1/2 interest for $750,000) with Snowmass Peruvian Black N' Gold (one of the premier colored herdsires in the US), for a very striking male. Black N' Gold is out of Snowmass Peruvian Escobar & Escobar is out of Peruvian Hemingway. THAT IS WORLD-CLASS BLOODLINES!! Equilizer has more then outward beauty and conformation, just look at his fleece! His fleece is outstanding in every major characteristic from fineness, density, luster, handle, and staple length. Equilizer shows more energy and testosterone then any of our young males. He is fun to watch and is just striking in every way. We had a monthly meeting at our farm of our local farm group (Southeastern Colorado Alpaca Breeders) and several farms looked at him and decided to do outside breedings to him. He put 7 crias on the ground in 2008. We have him bred to at least 4 of our own females for 2009. Equilizer is ready | |
