Zuzu is a lovely medium gray in color with a beautiful handle and lovely sheen. Her dam, Silver Queen, also silver, was one of ATV’s foundation females and her bloodlines run through that herd as well as Crescent Moon’s.

Zuzu’s sire, Patagonia’s Usuahia, a true black son of Caballero Andante, was one of our foundation herd sires. Usuahia was shown twice. He took a blue ribbon at Alpaca Adventure and later a white ribbon at CABA right next to his half brother, Patagonia’s Compadre. He then retired from the ring to stand stud.

Zuzu is a small girl but has great body capacity and depth of chest despite her petite frame. She is independent of spirit. In fact, she's our herd matriarch! Zuzu is a wonderful mom, with plenty of milk who adores her babies. In fact, she adores all crias and has been like an auntie to each year’s cria crop. Zuzu has given birth to three crias; Pepper, a true black male out of Aussie Hudson Hawk who weighed 15# at birth, and gained ½ pound a day. He has begun his breeding career at Calista Alpacas. Johnny Walker, also a true black male out of Aussie Rockford who weighed 17.5# at birth. And, Elva, a MSG female out of our Color Champ, LF del A Joshua. This little gem's early gain was 1/2 daily and she had an IGg of 2700.

Zuzu is currently bred to Mr. Golden Boy, an amazing fawn male owned by our good friends at Lakeside Alpacas. He has a rosegrey sire and has been throwing silver when bred to silver. Last year we put him with one of our silver females and the result was a ROSE GREY FEMALE! We're hoping this pairing will result in the same.

Sale includes a rebreed to Color Champ LF del A Joshua. His fiber has stayed soft and consistent through his first four histograms. His micron count at 46 months ('09) was still 20.1 with a curve of 45. Incredible statistics for any breeding male, but outstanding in a grey! Check his listing under our Herdsires.
