This male is quite an important fine fleeced line for the Snowmass breeding program.
His pedigree is very unique and packed full of Snowmass's finest color Peruvian imports along side of their very best whites.
In 2009 we had the very exciting opportunity to breed to one of Snowmass's males, Snowmass Sizlin' Dreams who was not otherwise open to outside breedings. Sizlin Dreams 2 year micron was 16.9 and we bred him to one of our finest girls, Moonshadow's Olivia. The result was Moonshadow's Dream Girl, super fine, dense, crimpy fleece we were expecting from this pairing. Her fleece is extremely bright, with a beautiful handle and high frequency crimp style. Dream Girl's Sire, Snowmass Sizlin Dreams is quite an important fine fleece line for the Snowmass Alpacas breeding program. His Sire, Snowmass Sizlin Hot, was sold to a UK breeder and is now Standing in England as a leading genetic line for fine fleece improvement, which has been proven in his line 5 generations strong! Snowmass Sizlin Dreams Dam line is Snowmass Cangalli Dream who at 4 years still had a tested MFD of 18.9 and Curv. of 53.1 sired by Snowmass Snow King. This pedigree is very unique and packed full of the finest color Peruvian imports along side of our very best whites at Snowmass Alpacas. He is gorgeous in body and fleece and carries this fineness of fleece and color purity over his entire frame which is really instrumental in making advancements of improving on overall quality and improved blanket fleece weight. He is a truly valuable element in making the needed improvements in fine color breeding programs.
Dream Girl has huge potential in any elite fleeced breeding program. She has potential to produce outstanding fleece in color or just add to the extreme light fleece quality breeding her to white. There is no doubt she has a lot of high quality to add to the breeding mix. We will breed her to Snowmass Golden Victory and expect this pairing to add bone structure, improve on phenotype and maybe bring out more color. No doubt the fleece will be incredible!
