Dark Rose Grey, 834703, Full Peruvian
Add another credit to Spitfire: At the recent Great Midwest Alpaca Festival Spitfire's son Tagger took 1st place in a class of 15 white juvenile suri males and Reserve Color Champion. Spitfire is a delicious dark rose grey multicolored suri. His conformation is beautiful. This young herdsire brings strong conformation and soft, fine locks and has passed them on. Spitfire took a blue ribbon in his shorn class at 2003 AOBA. Leaving the ring he got an offer of purchase. Spitfire settles females quickly. His first offspring hit the ground in the fall of 2005 a rose grey female with lots of luster (in September 2006 and April 2007 she took first place). We liked her so much we repeated the breeding for 2006 and got another rose grey. His second daughter, Rose Quartz Cloud, out of a fawn female, won Color Champion at Madison and AOBA (over 27 grey suris) in 2007. Three of his six crias thus far have been rose grey, from fawn and beige dams. Spitfire has soft but lustrous locks, wit
We wish to Thank Vince Schroeder for allowing us to purchase a 1/2 interest in this incredible female!
Rose Gray females are rare and the fact that she is Full Peruvian Pure Suri only adds to her value and rarity!
Rose won 1st place in a class of 6 Light Rose Grey, and the 2007 AOBA NATIONALS Female Gray COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP! Her histogram was at 17.5 microns with a comfort factor of 100%! Judge Mike Safely said that her luster and fineness were exceptional, she has a perfect Suri phenotypical head and excellent bone and very high density. Some animals are wide and their fleece traps a lot of air giving the perception of density but this female has very high density. The Reserve Color Champion had better lock definition, but Color Champion Rose Quartz Cloud had a higher degree of luster and density and fineness.
Apprentice Judge Ian Watts commented that she is of excellent quality and Super Fine fiber.
