Hemingway needs no introduction, only that, we must recognize his influence over the improvements of United States alpaca fleece standards. With the likes of one of his best daughters, Elise, Hemingway made his mark in the industry. Elise is a pure joy to put your hands on her fiber at 10 years old. We look forward to many years of super fine production.
Elise has proven herself by producing beautiful crias with extremely low micron counts.
MFI Peruvian Cactus Jack
Medium Brown, 30338166, Full Peruvian
What makes Jack so special?
Perfect phenotype: balanced proportion, erect presence, straight legs, correct bite, gorgeous head, luxurious coverage, rich color, soft handled fleece, tight crimp, tremendous density, long staple, well organized bundling, and much more.
Terrific pedigree: Guellermo(LB), Epifania(W), and Jeronimo(B) on his top side. Silvio(MSG), Campanilla(DB), and Concordia(DRG) on the bottom.
Are you looking for a male who can add color without sacrificing the quality of fleece production - then Jack should be your man.
This is a male worthy of marquee status and we plan to give him that honor.
Bonita cannot be described without mentioning her fineness and lineage. She is exceptionally fine and crimpy and has an exceptionally lingering fine dam, named Hemingways Elise . We dont really want to part with this girl as we see her as a nice replacement for her dam in a few years.
Bonitas histogram came back with a 16 AFD at year old with a curve of 45.
Her dam maintains 19 AFD age 12. We look for Bonita to exhibit the same type of lingering fineness attributes that her dam, Elise, has demonstrated.
We have bred her to our amazing male AROSA Tuscan Black! So why did we breed her Tuscan? Well, Bonita's sire is Cactus Jack (Brown) and therefore we know that Bonita covers med brown at the minimum, and maybe she covers black. We like her for our breeding program, a super fine fleeced female that carries the dark recessive color gene.
Her sire is very phenotype 8X champion, Cactus Jack, who we chose to bring in some color, but as you can see it didnt work out. But we now know that Bonita carries brown recessive trait, so we look for color in her future.
