A.L.Pacas's Silver Flower
Medium Silver Grey, 836558, Full Chilean
Silver Flower is one of the most beautiful Silver Gray daughters of the famous gray herdsire Request the Best. Far more attractive than her photo, her conformation and type are wonderful.
*True silver grey is hard to find.*
Sire - Request the Best, in his day, was one of the finest grey herdsires to be found anywhere. He won three successive first place ribbons at the prestigious AOBA Nationals between 1997 and 1999, among numerous other awards. His sire line, Cisco Kid and El Gris, were nationally known in their day, and are still found in the pedigrees of most of the top greys.
Dam - A true black, Yo Midnight produced 8 crias for A.L. Pacas before being sold to Dreamland Alpacas. Like Request The Best, her lineage is nearly all grey and black.
Fleece - Silver Flower's fleece is marvelous, and she sheared nearly seven pounds of it at age 2! Today, at age 8, her fleece is not what it used to be, but her primaries are still relatively fine - and the
An impressive Full Alianza Peruvian, Bravado is our foundation herdsire. Fineness personified with flawless conformation, type, and presence. At his ninth shearing his micron count is 21.8! Just look at the beautiful bundling in his fleece.
Bravadp is the result of combining the finest and most proven Peruvian alpacas in North America. Bravado's sire is Bueno, owned by Mike & Robin Tierney of MapleBrook Farm. Bueno is no longer breeding.
On the other side of his pedigree, Bravado's dam, NWA Ltd., Marcie contributes another line of proven superior genetics. Her sire was the world famous Hemingway and her dam is Macarena. That makes Marcie a full sister to well known sires Predictor, Hektor and Handsome.
Hemingway is known worldwide and Bueno has produced over 100 winning offspring to date, and we think Bravado is one of his best. We are certain that Bravado will go on to sire as many champions as his father, and one
'Finn McCool' is a striking grey male ready to go to work in your herd.
A truly handsome animal, Finn was the result of crossing an elite white male with a really good silver grey female. With Finn, there is no need to choose between fleece quality and color; his pedigree has it all!
Fineness DENSITY Crimp Staple length
The combination of fineness and uniform micron - there are NO coarse guard hairs in his blanket - makes his fiber LUXURIOUS. These are the qualities that matter most to those who wear alpaca!
Sire - Bravado. If you know him, I don't need to say any more.
Dam - Silver Flower, a correct and gracefully proportioned daughter of the reknown grey sire, 'Request the Best'. A reliable producer of quality crias, she has four exceptional crias by Bravado: Finn, Sadhbh, and Copper (the 'teddy bear'!), and the brown female cria born in 2011 for Silver Flowers new owners.
*According to current genetic understanding, Finn will breed like any other rose grey male: half of his crias will be grey (when bred to solid color females). He has the ability to sire either rose grey or silver grey offspring.
Finn is ready to breed, but won't get much chance in our white breeding program. Take him home to add showy good looks, staple length, density, and fine, crimpy fiber to your greys!
Sixth Day Farm proudly co-owns Finn with Kinney Valley Alpacas.
