Mumsie

Bay Black, 835919, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Mumsie is a healthy girl with lofty fiber that has a nice handle and good coverage. She is bay black, but has grey in her topknot and throws grey offspring. She has a history of having robust babies with her upright proud stance.

Mumsie's Dad is a full Peruvian, rose-grey; Challenger has had plenty of ribbon winning offspring. Mumsie herself has some ribbons to her credit: a third at SEPA, and a couple of blues for her fleece.

Mumsie has been bred to gray for a June 2011 cria.

  Teddy's Peruvian Valentino
    Dark Brown, 819427, 1/8 Chilean, 7/8 Peruvian

Density, Density, Density! As a cria, Valentino's chocolate colored fleece was so twirly and thick that he looked like a little teddy bear. Maybe that's why his sire was named Lanark's Peruvian "Teddy" (Knoblocks Prairie Ranch). His dam is Lanark's Primrose , herself a blue ribbon winner in fleece, and his grandsire is the legendary Drambuie now in Australia. The owner of Drambuie confided that an Australian breeder told her, "We think that was the Yank's biggest mistake - letting him leave the USA! He's a national treasure down under!" This alpaca herdsire is a show winner, sire of show winners and out of excellent bloodlines.

He won a 1st place at the Great Frederick Fair 2003 in his halter class and a 1st for his crimpy fleece in the fleece show. He placed in a large class at the Jubilee also despite being one of only two younger males in the ring. On his most recent AOBA fleece show entry the judge wrote, "Very nice Lock formation and crimp!" and "Lovely Uniformity of

Endless Teagan

Listed at $1000 by Judy Simpson of New Milford, PA

Print Listing | Certificate | Histogram

Teagan has a dense lofty fleece with beautiful coverage, and a fuzzy face and ears. Her fiber color is a rich solid medium brown. She is inquisitive and friendly, the first to run over to greet visitors. Genetics include mostly Peruvian - Peruvian Drambuie and Royal Peruvian Challenger as well as a touch from the Chilean Aysen herd. Her mother has a history of producing vigorous, proud, upright babies and Teagan is no exception.

Since we were limiting breedings, Teagan was passed over during the last breeding season. She acted as surrogate mother and let another mom's cria nurse off of her last spring. We don't know how much milk she produced but she his definately ready to be a mom.

Her price is low as a sales incentive.

Price: $1000
