Maris Stella is a 7/8 Peruvian white female with very soft, crimpy fleece. She is out of Oro Grande, an award-winning and well-known Peruvian herdsire. Her grandsire, Peruvian Prophet produced award-winning fiber also. She is a well-built girl with nice conformation. She delivered her first cria (Timberline), on 4-4-04 while no one was at the farm and she was great. He's a handsome male, carbon copy of his champion sire. Wt 16 pounds, medium fawn, good conformation, full of energy and beautiful fleece. Looks like he might follow in his sire's footsteps. Her second cria (Yonder Mountain)born 4-3-05 is also the image of his sire with great conformation, and medium fawn porcorn fleece. These were 2 of the 3 animals which won 2nd place in the Get of Sire competition for ESCAPE at the 2005 OABA AlpacaFest. She was bred to RRA Onyx's The Lieutenant, a handsome black herdsire, August of 2005 but unfortunately, lost twin boys June of 2005. She was re-bred to Escape September 2006.
Awards Received Fleece won second place at the OABA 2003 handspinners competition. She was second only to Luminary who took the blue and also the purple (best of white) at the spin-off. Fleece won fourth place in the Handcrafter's Spin off at both the Lake County and the Geauga County Fairs in 2004
