| | | "Lacey" is one of our rock solid foundation females. The daughter of an elegant Bolivian dam and an AOBA Nationals blue ribbon dark rose grey Peruvian herdsire, Royal Peruvian Challenger, and the granddaughter of Mr. Know It All, Lacey is a true-blue American beauty.
Lace is covered head-to-toe in pearlescent, crimpy fiber. At her first shearing she produced 8.5# of fiber, 5# from the blanket alone, and continues to wow us with her fiber production each year. Lacey's histogram, at 5 yrs, increased only 2 microns from her tui count, while her SD and CV have decreased. She's still giving us 4.5 to 5# of blanket fiber.
Lacey has had seven cria
five females and two males. All births have been trouble free and each cria robust and vigorous. Her son, Sitka, out of Mr. Golden Boy, took first place honors at Alpaca Affair, in both fleece and halter for an over all first place, with the judge exclaiming that his placement was a "no brainer." He has been sold and has begun hi

| | | Dr. Sumar summed up this guy best as he awarded him his first blue:"Fineness, crimp, density, uniformity, coverage, excellent conformation, and a beautiful head. This alpaca is the total package". Mature fineness too. We now have 5 of his crias on the ground and we're VERY pleased.
6 years old and 20.3 mic; 4.3 SD. We've had our eye on this elite Snowmass Messiah son/Accoyo El Moustachio grandson for over a year and half, even making a trip to Oregon to check him out, but he wasn't then for sale. We were delighted to finally be able to purchase him in partnership with Trueheart Alpacas. For us he'll be the next step in our breeding program developing mature fineness in all of our alpacas and creating champions along the way.
We're continuing to offer his Colorado breedings at a below market price until our first crias arrive in the fall. He's working at Xanadu Farm from now through March then he'll be back at Trueheart Alpacas in Franktown, CO. Watch for h

The appetite for well known genetics has become nearly insatiable. Breeders want to be as sure as we can that our dollars are spent wisely. We look at famous names and show wins. Not a thing wrong with that. BUT sometimes the girl next door, particularly if she is priced below yesterdays market and/or has never been to show, is left standing at the altar.
Well, what would have happened if George Bailey had left Bedford Falls?
So the point? This girl is simply top drawer (yup, TOP DRAWER). Shes our very own Mary Bailey, priced at Bedford Falls' girl next door with 'up town' relations" WW II rates.
Miss Lotus is not just your ordinary white alpaca. She is from Snowmass lineage (Messiah) and multiple championships on her sires side. And from tried and true Bolivian lines (Mr. Know It ALL) on her dams side. These are the same lines that produced Emerald Farms incredible Cloud line.
Her fleece is royal baby 16.9 AFD. BRIGHT and crimpy. Her SD is 3.1, with a curve of 44.1 and comfort factor of 100%. Her dam, sisters, aunts, uncles are all fleece monsters
with hefty blankets weighing in at 4.0 to 5.5# and retained fineness throughout the years. At 11 months Lotus produced 2.5# from the blanket (she had been cria shorn, so this was actually 9 months growth). We will see what her second shearing brings.
Lotus conformation is spot on, she has a lovely personality, she's halter trained and very easy to handle Her maternal line conceives and births effortlessly and are terrific mothers. Her mother and sister have thrown color when bred to color.
So why havent we taken her to show? The bald truth? Call us lazy, but we cannot keep white alpacas as clean as we would like to present at show... particularly those with fleeces as fine as this one. No other reason
honest!
Lotus is the real thing! Check the links to her histogram and ARI certificate.
So, there you have it ...
