Serena Florencia
White, 173362, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
Serena is a white half-Accoyo Vengador daughter out of a brown dam. She has been a good producer for several years and is very reliable. Check out her histogram at nine years of age! Serena also has a winsome personality and is easy to handle. When Serena was bred to Legacy she threw a beige male with a terrific fleece, Grazing Hills Diego, who won the fleece show at Spokane and who is still a working herdsire. Last year she delivered a beautiful light fawn Romeo son (Firenze) with exceptional luster and crimp who was clearly the best of our six Romeo crias. He just won a blue ribbon at GWAS in Denver and even got a ribbon at the extremely competitive IAO at only seven months of age. Serena is bred back to our multiple champion herdsire Augusto's Cochiti. Since they both have a brown parent, we stand a good chance of getting color in a cria out of Vengador and Augusto lines.
The son of Peruvian Legacy and one of Crescent Moon's top fawn females, Romeo leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. He's a very handsome animal, from head to toe, and the judges have agreed all across the country in the most competitive shows in the land. He's a very mild-mannered male with a good temperament, and also a prodigious breeder--he began settling females at seventeen months of age! Romeo is aptly named; he settled ten females on our farm last year. The babies are beginning to pop up in the shows in all colors this year. At the AWE 2006 show, all three of Romeo's crias that were entered won ribbons-- first, fourth and sixth. Then at Great Western they took two firsts and a fourth. The first six crias have shown Romeo's potential to throw color: one white, one beige, two light fawn, one medium fawn and one dark fawn (out of a white female!). Every one of them looks to be of show quality. We couldn't be more pleased with Romeo's progeny. He has exceeded even our very

Firenze, out of Legacy and Vengador lines, is the ultimate fiber machine. He has crimpy staples coming out all over his frame, including very full face and leg coverage. Plus he has major cute factor. I didn't even get him inside the building at his first show before someone wanted to buy him. And as he's grown his accomplishments are mounting. As the smallest in the field, he earned ribbons at IAO and AWE before winning at Denver. His juvenile fleece took first and Reserve Champion in the AFCNA National Fleece Show, first at AWE and second at AOBA (the only animal to beat him was a son of Running Late, whom we co-own with Magical Farms, so our fawn breeding program has a very bright future indeed). His yearling fleece won first place in the AOBA Fleece Show, and as a two year-old he took Reserve Champion at Northwest Alpaca Showcase. Well into his fourth year, he placed second in a very large class of muscled-up white males in the AWE show on the strength of his fleece characteristics, beaten only by an Accoyo America El Nino son. And now, Firenze has topped it all--at the age of 5 1/2--with Color Championships at both the Southwest and International shows. And at the IAO he beat all the color champions in winning the Spinner's Dream Trophy for his lasting fineness and fleece character. Judges have consistently commented on his lasting fineness--AFD of 16.3 and Curvature of 59.4 on his sixth fleece! Now this year Firenze's fleece not only won the IAO White Mature Males class, but also the Longevity Championship for the finest fleece of all animals over 36 months (and he did this at 68 months!). So Firenze has established himself as one of the elite light males in the nation. If you'd like to discuss owning a half share of this great male, give us a call.
