MMR Ascott is one of those rare males that has the ability to retain his fineness and fleece characteristics as he ages. His fleece is very dense, with a high frequentcy crimp style. Check out these stats taken at 3 yrs of age. MFD 17.3, SD 3.2, COV 18.2, > 30mic 0.3 medulated fibres 0.8, Spin fineness 16.5, Mean Curve 55.6. We bred him to a few females last year and are anxiously awaiting the results. We had been looking for Jolimont Peruvian Ivano bloodline for sometime as his genetics have a high inheritability to retain fineness, and his progeny have box style frames. When we found the Ivano genes combined with Alpamayo producer of high frequentcy crimp and the ability to retain a low micron with age, we new it was the ideal combination. We would like to thank Eslakes for giving us the opportunity to purchase MMR Ascott these proven bloodlines. Ascott was shown only once before we puchased him and won Reserve Grand Champion at the 2006 IPE. -March 27/10 at almost 5 years of age
