Sunshine is the mother of six light-colored animals born on our farm, all with great soft fiber. She had more crias on the ground before we purchased her. Sunshine is a very elegant lady. She has a fine, but solid, bone structure. She has a shy, gentle personality and is a great mother. Two of her crias, her most recent ones, are currently the highest quality animals we own.
Sunshine's 2009 cria, Hemlock, has the best fiber that we have ever had on our farm. It is soft and dense with pronounced crimp. He took first in his competitive class at the 2010 Minnesota Alpaca Expo. His fleece won reserve champion and "Best Brightness" in the 2010 Shepherd's Harvest Fleece Show.
Sunshine's 2010 cria is a snow white girl, Unforgettable (Greta). She possesses the same elegant frame as her mother, as well as the exceptional fleece of her father, champion sire Alta's Ultima of PVA.
Her most recent cria is Aramis, a beautiful brown boy with excellent fiber and a great conformation.
Though she is not the youngest alpaca in the herd, Sunshine continues to produce crias with increasingly superior quality each time she gives birth. She has plenty of years left of producing exceptional crias.
