| | | Like the rose greys? Here's a nice one, with a lot of grey in the pedigree to help you keep producing this rare color.
Celine's pedigree is a mix of Bolivian, Chilean and Peruvian stock, with such well-known ancestors as Pperuvian Pluro, Alpacas of America's famous Ross (a rose grey), and Legacy de Bolivia, a light silver grey.
Celine herself is a bright medium rose grey, with the white markings typical of the tuxedo greys. Her conformation is good and she is nicely balanced, with a good bite. She has relatively fine fleece with a nice, regular crimp pattern. Her first fiber had a 4.5 inch staple length!
Celine has proven herself to be a great mother, and we've had two nice crias from her. If we were going to continue to breed for grey, we'd keep Celine in the herd for sure. However, we have recently been moving our herd to whites and lights. That means we're offering Celine for sale for the first time!

Medium Silver Grey, 1345513, 3/8 Bolivian, 5/8 Peruvian

|
| | | Yuma is a beautiful medium silver-grey with excellent fleece - crimp and lock from skin to the tips of his fiber, a very fine fleece, and with exceptional uniformity front to back and top to bottom. His crimp style is low amplitude, high frequency...many,many tiny little crimps per inch, the highly desired zipper crimp.
In 2007, at the Southwest Regional Show (Level IV), the Judge commented that Yuma had the finest fiber of all ten males in the ring!
Coverage on this boy is way above average. His conformation is very nice, and he is large boned with a nice square stance. He also has an easy-to-handle personality.
Yuma's pedigree is worth a second look with Victor and Hemingway lines on his sire's side, and Bolivian Black Thunder on the dam's side. He started breeding in May of 2007, and his first crias arrived in spring 2008. He has thrown black out of black dams, and grey out of fawn dams. All have had exceptional fiber - we are very pleased!
