| | | A large, solid male with extreme fiber coverage, Colorado also has well defined crimp and a very dense fleece, as expected with his Accoyo background (he is 1/2 Accoyo). His color is deep red, like mahogany, almost maroon. Conformation is outstanding. He is friendly and easy to handle.
Colorado's crias have excellent coverage with very bright fleeces, and fiber that is quite fine (AFDs in the low twenties and high teens on most). Colorado settled his first female at 22 months of age, so add early maturity to the list of attributes. His crias are generally fawn or brown but he has thrown bay blacks and one true black, which went on to become the Black Female Color Champion at the 2005 Southwest Regional Show. Over the years he has been breeding, three-fourths of his crias are female!
Colorado's sire is the well-known Peruvian import, Camilio, with many show champions to his credit. His dam is one of our foundation females who has produced nothing but show ribbon | |
