| | | Avalon's Laurel Rose is the Rosie-apple of my eye and has been ever since I "found" her at the 2002 AOBA National Show. Rosie is that special alpaca who all of us look for, but rarely find. She has great conformation, she is extremely typey, she has wonderfully dense fiber with a great handle and great tactile characteristics. She is awesome! And she is an awesome producer for us. Rosie gave birth to LikaRose, sired by Shades of Gray, on 2/24/05. She is an amazing show quality alpaca now owned by Silver Oak Farm. Lika is a Reserve Color Champion. Rosie gave birth to her 2nd female cria, SMKF LydiaRose, on May 2nd, 2006. Lydie was sired by Avalon's Peruvian Whirlwind. Again, Lydie is an exceptional beige/light fawn female out of 2 highend parents. Look at Lydie's AN site to see what we mean. Lydie is now producing highend cria of her own. On May 10, 2007, Rosie gave birth to her 1st male cria, SMKF Logan, sired by Avalon's P. Whirlwind. Logan is now standing stud at a | |

| | | POLARIS SIRES A ROSE-GREY FEMALE!!! She was born at Crown Point Alpacas to a female named Sweet Savannah owned by Barbara Swan of SwansDown Alpacas! CONGRATULATIONS POLARIS, SAVANNAH AND BARBARA!!!
POLARIS continues to prove that he is an ELITE HERDSIRE both in the show ring and with his "criations". At over 5 1/2 years of age, he has added a Blue Ribbon for his fleece to his awards from the 2007 AOBA National Fleece Show. How many herdsires do you know that are still being shown at 5 1/2 years of age? How many are winning? Polaris is! Polaris also received a Blue Ribbon at the 2007 NAAS and stood with his son Oliver in the first row for the Color Champion Class, with Oliver winning over 150+ other males. We are extremely proud of Polaris and the offspring he is producing. Out of 4 of his progeny that have shown, 2, Arlo & Oliver, became Color Champs their first time out: Arlo in 2006 and Oliver in 2007, both at the NAAS - a very large & extremely competitive show.
