JEA'S Zoie

Dark Brown, 30376021

Zoie is one of our Avatar girls with lots of grey in her backround. Zoie is chestnut in color with above average density, excellent conformation, nice high frequency crimp and great fiber stats. Her dam, Black Betsy has given us nothing but high quality offspring.

Zoie's first cria we named Angel Baby, and as we suspected, our full Peruvian 1/2 Accoyo stud Yupanquis Kokopelli did a fantastic job producing a light fawn female with fleece to die for! Angel Baby took a 2nd Place at NAAS and a 3rd at NEAE in 09. Both were classes of 12 and 13 alpacas.

Zoie's second cria is a most excellent rose grey girl we named Sweet P. I wonder if this cria will follow in her grandsire, Avatars footprints?

Zoie is rebred to Koko for a fall 2012 cria.

In 2011 Zoie gave birth to her 4th cria, (3 of them female!) also out of Yupanquis Kokopelli. A light brown girl that looks so delicate and dainty, with very nice density and bundling already, we have decided to name h

  Yupanquis Kokopelli
    Beige, 818091, Full Peruvian

This 1/2 Accoyo Full Peruvian son of the renowned Yupanqui is an exceptional animal. His improvements over the dams he has worked with are consistant no matter what female we bred him to. One of the reasons we purchased Koko was his proven track record of throwing about 2/3rds female to 1/3 males. So far he has proven to do just that. His genetics are also limited by the fact his Sire is deceased.

Before we purchased Kokopelli the previous owners remarked, they have rarely seen a Herdsire so reliably produce exceptional cria. And we can agree with that assessment also. He has been hidden away working at a small farm that has had few opportunities to market and show. If you like looking for those hidden treasures at small farms - here he is! This guy compares well with males that sell at larger farms for alot more money. Kokopelli throws a lot of color - even when bred to white dams.

We took two of Kokopelli's offspring to 2 shows in 09', both level V, out of 21 alpacas

The combination of this paring of Dam and Sire has consistantly produced show quality cria. Laci is young but she seems to be following in the footsteps of her older sibblings. Laci is dense, fine, crimpy, lovely brown fleece.
Laci fits her name well, as right from the beginning, she had this slow, very feminine, princess type, look at me I'm so pretty presence. She has a nice soft hand, her fleece just beckons to be spun.
