CECI had a True Black female cria today (11/16/10) sired by our 7 X CHAMPION OLIVER. The cria was breech and did not survive delivery. This is CECI's only cria who has not survived. We would recommend that a vet be called the next time CECI goes into labor to access the delivery position of the cria and assist if necessary. We will re-breed CECI to any of our excellent herdsires if you feel willing to handle a birth potentially in need of assistance. CECI produces very nice cria and she is listed at a very reasonable price.
There is nothing more important to any alpaca farm than proven, dependable production females.
CECILINA is one of those females! Ceci has no health problems and she produces very healthy cria and she has plenty of milk to bring them to weaning at an excellent weight.
CECI's last cria, CALEB was sired by OLIVER'S SIRE, POLARIS and I believe he will be our NEXT CHAMPION! On August 17th, 2009, CECI GAVE BIRTH TO A VERY HEALTHY DARK BROWN WITH BLACK POINTS MALE CRIA, SLEEPING MONK FARM CALEB, SIRED BY AVALON'S PERUVIAN POLARIS. GREAT FLEECE ALREADY!!! CALEB is THE BEST CRIA that CECI has ever produced. Take a look at CALEB on his AN page. When CALEB was shorn on 4/30/10, it became very evident that his fleece is turning grey. This is the 1st BPG for POLARIS and for CECI.
CECI has now produced 5 female cria and 3 males. All of her cria exhibit great presence and have fiber with great crimp, a long staple length and brightness. All are also very strong and correct conformationally, with great bone. A grandson of her's, KING TUX, sired by AVALON'S PERUVIAN POLARIS, took 5th place at The 2008 Futurity.

Ceci has not been shown. We have preferred to use her as production female as she has great bone, excellent conformation and great color in her background. Ceci has earned AAA + in cria production. Blue ribbons in Breeding, Birthing and Nurturing! With each new cria she births, she continues to win these Blue Ribbons. Ceci breeds back very easily. When she was bred for Cordelia, she bred back successfully at nine days. She is very content to be bred and nurturing.
