Mariah is a sweet and beautiful bay black daughter of black Snowmass Guinevere and a wonderful fawn herdsire, Welcome Stranger. She has a gentle temperament, great conformation, and nice crimpy full fiber coverage. AND...she is tough, as she was born on a cold 20 degrees-below-zero Minnesota morning just in time for Christmas! Mariah is a proven mom who has given birth to Honey, a lovely medium fawn female cria with “out-of-this world” fiber coverage, and a fawn/white son, Samson, with amazing crimp in his fiber (Samson's fiber won first place in his color division at the 2002 Midwest Alpaca Jamboree.
Mariah's third cria, Rebel, is a wonderful son with his sire Expression's beautiful fine curly Peruvian fiber. Her lovely cria was born during a school field trip with 35 first graders watching! White Zephyr I
White, 181314, Peruvian
Zephyr is a Peruvian Royal fawn son, full Peruvian and 1/2 Accoyo. This is a very Bold and well Balanced male. He has total coverage from his head to his toes. The luster is awesome, his crimp is superb, and the density is something to see! His owners and we are very proud of the offspring Zephyr has been producing. Zephyr's offspring include Color Champion and Reserve Champion offspring. Zephyr has many references.
Honey (1/2 Peruvian, 1/4 Accoyo) is a fabulous medium fawn girl whose rich color is like that of the vicuna - sweet honey highlighted by a lovely light colored lower chest and underbelly - a very desirable look in the alpaca world. She has very dense fiber with soft crimp from her charming face to her toes. Honey is the daughter of our very sweet black Welcome Mariah and the gorgeous, heavily fibered, full Peruvian sire Zephyr. Her amazing sire is the son of Accoyo Ppperuvian Royal Fawn -- twice winner of the coveted AOBA “Get of Sire” award, the #1 pick in the 1995 import, and widely esteemed throughout the United States. Honey’s fine lineage includes the finest of Peruvian fiber genetics, along with wonderful Chilean color genetics passed on from her black mother, black grandmother Snowmass Guinevere, grey grandsire Sir Lancelot, black great-grandsire Zorro, and fawn grandsire Welcome Stranger.
Honey has proven her capability as a terrific dam with her beautiful crias - for an example, check out her son Timber's beautiful picture on his AN page! Honey's Zephyr/Royal Fawn lineage and her strong color genetics promise more beautiful quality cria's.
Honey will be re-bred soon to our Snowmass Expression (or a Rolling Oaks sire of your choice!) for a fall 2010 cria that will have Peruvian Hemingway and Peruvian Royal Fawn, both very famous Peruvian studs, in its fine lineage. We will eagerly anticipate this fine cria and many more from Honey for your herd or ours! You will also have the option of a free re-breeding to Snowmass Expression or the male of your choice from our herd.
Awards Received Honey has award-winning lineage, but she has not been in the show ring.
