| | | Precious Fawn is the first and foremost daughter of Ppperuvian Misty Maiden, our premier female and world record holder as the highest selling female of all-time at $205,000. Precious is a perfect example of why Misty Maiden is referred to as the "Dam of the Century".
Like her brothers and sisters after, Precious carries all the attributes Misty Maiden offspring are famous for; they are the complete package. It is for this reason why Precious never took less then a 1st place in the show ring, and rallied up a total of 7 championships in the years when shows were scarce. CONGRATULATIONS to Sue Henry of Skagit Valley Alpacas in Washington State. Sue was looking for the top colored bloodline in the country and she found it! We are sure Peggy will do great things in your small elite breeding program Sue, congrats.
Pegasus (Peggy) represents the third generation of the Misty Maiden bloodline. People know how good Misty Maiden offspring are, but most are not aware that her grand-offspring are just as good! It is for this reason why Misty Maiden is one of the highest selling females of all time at $205,000, and is our core producing female.
Like all animals from this bloodline, Peg’s fleece coverage and large bone make for an eye-catching phenotype. She wants all eyes on her at all times. It’s been said Peg has the ‘perfect head’. With a very dense, yet fine fleece, filled with character (7 crimps per inch) Peggy deserves to be part of the family. Peggy’s older, full sister, SCA Peruvian Precious Angel, who we once owned, was an undefeated 7 time Champion. Another sister from the same dam has sold for $85,000 at 3 weeks old. This is what you can expect from their dam, Peruvian Precious Fawn, a 7 time Champion in her own right.
As of July 2006, the Misty Maiden bloodline has won over 60 Championships and 75 Blue Ribbons. Please see below under awards for more info.
It also doesn’t hurt Peggy that her sire is 9 time Champion, Royal Peruvian Apollo- the sire of too many champions to even count. His offspring are some of the best out there, and Peg is a prime example- she helped Apollo win Get-of-Sire at the 2005 Ohio Buckeye Show.
