Dotty is a rare appaloosa with great bloodlines. Her sire, Hemingway's Protege is no longer in the US - he was snatched up by Australia as a superb stud. And her grandsire is The Silversmith. She is very gentle with great mothering skills (easy births and good milker). Her fleece is EXTREMELY soft and the handspinners in the area fell in love with both the feel and her unique coloring.Her first cria is Dotson, out of Cahuide, has a few spots on him, as his name implies, and is also very fine fleeced. Her second cria is a beautiful dark fawn male out of Legacy's Diamond Boy. He sold at 4 months old! Dotty just delivered a beautful medium fawn female out of Yupanqui (price does not include cria). Yupanqui was the #1 male pick of the 1995 Five star Peruvian Importation. This outstanding full Accoyo white stud male with extremely fine (20.8 at five years old), bright, deep amplitude crimp, dense fiber and prolific history. He has consistently produced award winning crias with similarly outstanding fiber. Yupanqui, a well-known male for producing quality, has the wonderful ability to deliver crias in the full array of the 22 natural alpaca colors and totaling over 100. He's thrown several greys and true blacks!. Even at twelve years old he has a bright fleece that shines in the sunlight, with great handle and he's still an excellent breeder with a gentle temperament. I can walk out in his field and touch him/hold him with no problem. One of his sons, Kilyo, recently sold at auction for $44,000.
