Elite Snowflake, imported from Australia, is a daughter of Purrumbete Snowman. Snowman is one of the original six Accoyo males imported into Australia via Chile by the Haldanes. Owned by Pucara Stud, Snowman, now deceased, has many offspring in Australia. He was a large alpaca and was known to consistently transmit soft handling fleeces to his progeny - a well documented trait. There are only a few direct Snowman offspring in North America.
Snowflake was imported to Canada by Margaret Brewster of Brewster Alpacas. She has since earned her place as one of our prized foundation stock breeding females.
A prominent Canadian herdsire and son of the oustanding Alianza males, Peruvian Bueno. Judged by Jude Anderson, Lional sired the Supreme Champion Male at the 2002 International Alpaca Odyssey in Edmonton. Lional consistently produces champion winners.

July 27, 2009 - Dinah delivered a strong, healthy female cria who gained 6 lbs in her first week and tipped the scale at 40 lbs at a month!
April 2009 – Keswick and Heathcoat, sons of Dinah’s full sister take Champion Fawn Male and Champion Brown Male at the Keystone Alpaca Classic in Brandon.
We plan to retain at least one of Dinah’s Champion nephews, so need to reduce the number of females of this genetic line in our herd. In addition to Dinah’s full sister, we own two other maternal sisters and co-own Dinah’s dam with a farm in Kentucky where she now resides.
Dinah is a solid production female. She has a very fine, consistent, soft-handling fleece. Her sire is NGG Lional, a dark fawn Bueno son. Lional is a very typey alpaca and has produced many champion and quality off-spring over the years. Lional transmits a very good fleece with brightness and handle being its main attributes.
Dinah offers some unique genetics in the North American alpaca industry. Her dam, Elite Snowflake, imported from Australia, is a daughter of Purrumbete Snowman. Snowman is one of the original six Accoyo males imported into Australia via Chile by the Haldanes. Owned by Pucara Stud, Snowman, now deceased, has many offspring in Australia. He was a large alpaca and was known to consistently transmit soft handling fleeces to his progeny – a well documented trait. There are only a few direct Snowman offspring in North America.
Dinah has delivered six cria unassisted. Bred once before to Thunderbolt, the resulting offspring, Agassiz’s Edelweiss, was purchased by Honey's Alpaca Ranch of Indiana. Edelweiss’ son, Agassiz’s Americus is their premier herdsire, and her daughter Ms. Independence is part of their foundation stock.
