MIRAGE'S MUNSEE'S MUNCHKIN

Medium Brown, 810442, Peruvian

Munchkin delivered her first cria, SMKF Artilio's Marissa, in 2003 and proved to be an excellent mother. Marissa, a Bueno granddaughter, has grown by leaps and bounds due to the abundant supply of milk her very attentive mother has provided. Munsee's Munchkin is a full sister to Munsee's Monet. To see more offspring of each of these females, go to their individual AN listings.

  Maple Brook Artilio
    Medium Brown, 818172, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Here is a winning combination: Bueno genetics and rich, rare maroon! Artilio has turned heads both on the farm and in the show-ring, with first place wins at MAPACA 2002 and the New England Coastal Classic later that fall. He began his breeding career in the summer of 2002. As with his his renowned and prepotent dad, Peruvian Bueno, Artilio is passing on his excellent genetics to his offspring. His cria have ranged from fawn to rose gray and dark brown thus far but his true forte appears to be pulling the very rare rose gray from the lineage of the dam. Anyone aiming for the elusive rose gray and gray knows that maroon is a cornerstone color used to produce these, and Artilio has proven this in his offspring. Everyone is awestruck by Artilio's conformation, gentle demeanor, regal carriage and rich, lustrous fleece with one of the softest handles around! They have been similarly wowed by his offspring. He is co-owned with Maple Brook Farm of MA.

Marissa is the grandaughter of Bueno and she can produce Black Cria! Her sire, Maple Brook Artilio, is a multi Blue Ribbon Winner out of Bueno and a true black female named QAI Borgata. Both Artilio and his daughter Marissa are actually Maroon, with the possibility of producing very fine-fibered blacks. Marissa has very correct conformation, very dense fiber, and a very engaging personality. She is one of the first to greet all of our farm visitors. She loves to be sprayed with the hose on very warm days and to also have her neck and back scratched. We are sure that Marissa will share all of her great characteristics with her new owners. In addition to all of her other great qualities, you could not ask for a better PR alpaca than Marissa. She is truly an exceptional alpaca. Marissa has been bred to Avalon's Peruvian Polaris for a May 15, 2007 cria and she will also be entitled to a free breed-back to any of our herdsires. If you choose to finance Marissa, her price is $17,500.
Marissa had her 1st cria in October 2005. We call her Zoey. She has her mother's great personality and is the true black of her paternal grandmother. Zoey's fiber is very fine with beautiful crimp developing, along with very dense coverage.
Give us a call. We have very flexible financing options. 603.878.2183 Let's Talk Alpaca!!!

Marissa was never shown, although she should have been. Marissa was signed up for a couple of shows when she was old enough, but when the time came to get on the trailer, she didn't want to leave her Mother. And The Monk, being the Old Softy that he is, didn't make her go.
