If you’ve ever shown in the fawn classes, then you've probably run into the Misty Maiden bloodline. Misty's offspring and grand-offspring have dominated the show circuit since 1998 with her first daughter, Precious Fawn, a 7-time champion who we also own. Precious Fawn is the first and foremost daughter of Ppperuvian Misty Maiden, our premier female and world record holder as the highest selling female of all-time at $205,000. Precious is a perfect example of why Misty Maiden is referred to as the "Dam of the Century".
Like her brothers and sisters after, Precious carries all the attributes Misty Maiden offspring are famous for; they are the complete package. It is for this reason why Precious never took less then a 1st place in the show ring, and rallied up a total of 7 championships in the years when shows were scarce. As of July 2006, the Misty Maiden bloodline are now decorated with over 65 Championships and 80 blue Ribbons to their credit. Please see below under awards, for more info.
Precious is proving that she can carry on the dominant gene, as she herself is the dam of some of the nicest animals born into this bloodline. Her first daughter, SCA Peruvian Precious Angel, who we once owned, is an undefeated 7-time Color Champion, and her second daughter, SCA Apollo's Peruvian Pegasus won 2 Color Championships before turning a year old. Precious's third daughter, born in 2005, sold for $85,000 at only 3 weeks of age and she herself has already won a Color Championship and multiple blue ribbons- A wise investment!.
With Precious Fawn's very own offspring dominating the show ring, she just goes to prove how Misty Maiden's powerful genetics are "locked in". We look forward to Precious's babies year after year, and count on her to pass on these genetics for generations to come.
