Stonecrop Opal

True Black, 815646, Full Chilean

Opal is a very sweet true black alpaca. She is a solid female who has produced outstanding offspring. Her 2006 female cria, Precious Black Gold, is a gorgeous girl with outstanding fiber out of Christopher-B full Peruvian Color Champion & Get of Sire herdsire and producer of elite fleeces! Opal's daughter, Precious Black Gold took 1st place at the SEPA Show in Reading PA at 6 months of age. Opal had a daughter out of our Herdsire Xanadu Pelo de Oro and she is impressive, 1/2 Peruvian Accoyo. Opal's cria have high IgGs, vigorous growth, and benefit from her outstanding mothering skills. Opal was rebred to Pelo de Oro in June for a May 2008 baby. The last pairing gave super results, trying for another increbible baby.

  Xanadu Pelo de Oro
    Medium Fawn, 1020977, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Xanadu Pelo de Oro (fleece of gold) is a very attractive Jr. Herdsire (half accoyo) who is growing beautiful fawn fleece with a nice handle, good crimp and a long staple length. He is correct in his conformation and, as an Accoyo Caligula grandson, he has the genetics to produce quality offspring. Harry settles his females first time around. His sire, Presidio, is one of the finest-producing sons of Accoyo Caligula. He consistently passes his heavy bone, correct structure, perfect bite and reproductive capacity to his kids, with over 60 crias on the ground in nearly all colors. Harry is being offered with an introductory breeding fee that will be raised once his first offspring hit the ground March & July 2007. At the SEPA Show, judge Jill MacLeod commented that this is what you should look for in a Herdsire and this Herdsire should be working. Harry is now a proven Herdsire and he produced an impressive daughter with silky soft, dense, crimpy fleece and she is 1/2 accoyo.
