Benchmark's Peruvian Derby Day

True Black, 835180, Full Peruvian

Derby Day got her name by being born on the day of the Kentucky Derby. She is a carefree lark in the field, pronking about, even pregnant. Derby is a full Peruvian and true black. True black full Peruvians are hard to find. Derby is easy to handle (a performance multi-blue ribbon winner). Derby puts on a tremendous amount of fleece with an incredible staple length. She turns into a giant puff ball every winter. Derby has been bred to CPeruvian Accoyo Express for a July, 2006 cria.

Update: On August 5, Derby had a half accoyo true black female, 18 pounds! The little one is just perfect. Express came through again!

Derby's female, Black Beauty, had a stunning show career her first spring. She received 2 Reserve Color Champions as a juvi, and placed 4th out of 15 in her class at Nationals, all during the spring of 2007!

We were thrilled to welcome little Maggie to our farm. Maggie is full sister to Irish Meadows Black Beauty, a true black female that had a stellar show career last spring. We have retired Black Beauty to our foundation herd, and won't be showing her this fall. Black Beauty got 2 reserve color champions as a juvi, 3 blue ribbons, and a 4th at Nationals in a class of 16! All in one spring showing season!

These full Peruvian half Accoyo black females sired by Express are ultra nice, and can do you proud in the show ring.

Maggie is straight as a string, and her conformation is beautiful! She has an absolutely gorgeous head, and is very, very attractive.

Schedule a visit to see Maggie today!

Update: At her first show, Maggie did great! MOPACA combined bay blacks and true blacks, so in a huge class of 14, Maggie got 4th, behind Crescent Moon, Magical, and her own half sister, Dixie! So excellent placing by Maggie! Judge, Charlene Friedman.

Maggie has been bred to 9 time champion Accoyo Marathon, our full Accoyo medium fawn male. Look for that fantastic dark cria next spring!
