Derby Day got her name by being born on the day of the Kentucky Derby. She is a carefree lark in the field, pronking about, even pregnant. Derby is a full Peruvian and true black. True black full Peruvians are hard to find. Derby is easy to handle (a performance multi-blue ribbon winner). Derby puts on a tremendous amount of fleece with an incredible staple length. We were thrilled to welcome little Maggie to our farm. Maggie is full sister to Irish Meadows Black Beauty, a true black female that had a stellar show career last spring.
