Pachacuti is a piece of living history. He is one of only a few Accoyo herdsires selected in Peru by Don Julio Barreda for import to the United States. Pachacuti has been a central figure in the breeding program and the Studmaster program at Northwest Alpacas over the last 10 years. He is #2 behind the renowned Hemingway. He maintained his fine fleece longer than most working males and has produced several national champions. With nearly 200 progeny registered with ARI, Pachacuti stands among a very few alpacas with such a distiguished impact on the industry. If you want to see the value in breeding to Pachacuti, do a search using his name on AlpacaNation and look at the prices of both boys and girls and for his offspring, or dams bred to him. Hickory is offered as a spinner's dream, a 4-H fellow, companion, and/or a "pasture mechanic." He is from exceptional lineage, and has lovely fiber. At less than a year old, his staple length was 115mm and his blanket shear weight was 3#.
He missed the grade as a potential herd sire due to lack of density. However, his coverage is exceptional, his conformation straight and true and he has a great hand.
Hickoy is not yet gelded, and if interested, this boy, may be upgraded to junior herdsire status for an extra $700.00. Gelding can be handled here at the farm (at buyer's expense). If purchasing as a fiber animal, then papers will not be released until Hickory is gelded.
Hickory will only be sold to a farm with another alpaca or with his pasture buddy, Pepper, for a reduced package price.
