Ruby is a daughter of Augusto and Granddaughter of Leon. If that isn't enough to make awesome fleece than add the fact that her Granddam is a Medium Rose Gray. This girl looks like she is wearing velvet in medium fawn with a few spots of dark fawn on her side. She also has vicuna type marking with light fawn in the typical areas.
NWA, LTD Accoyo's Goldsmith
Medium Fawn, 815224, Full Peruvian
Goldsmith is a rare medium fawn full Accoyo male out of Accoyo Felix and Accoyo Aletha. The Goldsmith's uniform fleece is very crimpy and dense with excellent hand and great coverage from his nose to his toes (his legs actually have well-defined ringlets). He has a beautiful, typey head with the "perfect" top knot. His conformation and bite are flawless. He has a mild, gentle temperament and is very easy to handle.
Orofino has made a girl (Giselle has her own listing) that looks just like him out of a white with all white background! That is a strong color gene! He is 7/8th accoyo out of such legends as Augusto, Leon & Felix along with his Sire Goldsmith who is really making some great legacies. Fino has a gray muzzle, gray ankles, eyeliner, black pallet and gray skin and should definitely be put on gray! This guy is very straight, large boned, has proud stature and mild temperment. The judges have all commented on him being the densest in the class with great body capacity. What really draws attention is his fleece structure at 9 crimps per inch. 1st fleece picture appears darker as it was scanned in but I needed to show you his crimps! His MF dam Ruby is also extremely dense with a histogram at age 3 1/2 yrs of 20.7 micron, SD:3.8 (!),CV:18.4(!) and >30:2.0. See her weanling picture on her sight under our foundation herd. Please look at his certificate to see all the color behind this guy! Goldsmith and Felix are well known for throwing the dams color so keep that in mind also when considering this male. His 2nd offspring is a medium brown (also female)with dark points just like her dam. We would use him more but he is related to several animals through his dam, sister and sire. Orofino's price is at rock bottom for a 7/8 accoyo with this much fawn and ribbons behind him. Price isn't a representation of what we think of him but we have several unrelated fawns that we can start using on our females next year including a full accoyo fawn. Take advantage of our perdicament and save $$$. 3 Offspring doing great at the shows!
Awards Received Orofino took 2nd behind Hobby Horse Farm at the Kentucky Classic. Judge said he didn't split between fineness and density as they were the same. Split was that Hobby Horse had more of the overall "look", Orofino was brighter. We'll take it!
