Melinka is a truly one-of-a-kind girl. She has purpley rosegrey fiber that covers her body almost entirely. Her only white marking is a tiny white bolt on the front neck, giving her an unusual solid appearance. Despite her age she continues to be extremely fine fibered. She has produced grey almost entirely in her impressive breeding career: 1998 dark silver grey (from import breeding, sire unknown) 1999 light silver grey by Danko 2000 medium silver grey by Danko 2001 dark rose grey by Shackleton 2002 copper brown by Macho Negro 2003 platinum/light rose grey by Shaquille 2005 roaned dark brown by Bentley
Melinka is the mother of our grey herdsire Kozmo Di Magnifico and jr. sire Giacomo Aye Carumba. She is the grandmother of light rose grey jr. sire Craftsman's Quazar.
Niceros loves the ladies, and gets right down to business. He has a high percentage of first attempt successful breedings, and has sired a preponderance of female crias. His latest, Clarity of TKY, out of NCG Liberty, is a well-covered, fine-fleeced delight, dark brown with maroon highlights. We wer so pleased with a previous breeding with Scarlet O'Hara that we have repeated that breeding.
He is the son of Sinopsis Nocturna (formerly of Alpacas de la Patagonia) who is one of the most consistent and celebrated black huacays in the country, and Patagonian Almendra, an amazing moroon dam regularly producing maroon crias with top quality fleece.
SIBRI is a wonderful female from a long line of prolific producers. She is a treasure chest of color! Her mom, Melinka, is a dark rose grey and her dad, Niceros is true maroon. Niceros is the son of Sinopsis Nocturna and Almendra, both from Patagonia lineage. Sibri was a vigorous cria and is sweet and easy going.. Her super soft fiber shows wonderfully tactile crimp and gorgeous deep color. Sibri is very dense, with excellent coverage, and a crimp style that is consistent throughout.
SIBRI's first breeding was to our True Black Reserve Color Champion STONYRIDGE KANDOR, a CM Kryptonite son. On July 26th,2010, SIBRI gave birth to a TB Male cria whom we have named SLEEPING MONK FARM SEBASTIAN - he truly is a Loving' Spoonful along with SLEEPING MONK FARM ZALLIE! SEBASTIAN has developed very nicely and has amazing fleece for a True Black. His fleece is very bright, has a long staple length and highly developed architecture within the staple.
SIBRI will be bred to our 2 X Gray Champion, KODACHROME.
