Began in 2003 as a future retirement project, Whisper Meadows Alpacas is a small farm owned by Christine and Ken Rogers of De Pere, Wisconsin. I fell in love with Suris and purchased three bred females, and we have owned Suris ever since. Their soft, silky fiber leaves me in awe, and it was with great excitement that we sheared and sent off our first batch of fiber to be made into yarn. When it came back as wonderful, lustrous skeins of silky luxury just waiting to be touched, I took up knitting again after 30 years. It was wonderful to work with and I can't knit with anything else.
