 Welcome to Southern Hummers Alpacas, owned and operated by Jay & Carrie Gamblin. We have six acres in Glencoe, Alabama – located approximately 65 miles northeast of Birmingham.
Our journey into the wonderful world of alpacas began in February 2005 when we acquired a 6-month old, true-black, huacaya male along with a borrowed male as his companion. That spring we headed out west in pursuit of a female(s), visiting many farms along the way and attending our first alpaca auction.
