Here at Prairie's Edge, we really know our alpacas, fiber and husbandry. We understand what after sale support means to the future of your business. We are known for our "Above & Beyond After Sale Support". We are there for our customers when they need us. We offer high quality alpacas at reasonable prices & the opportunity to access our superior Herdsires. We have established a Premier Herdsire Row, which offers some amazing males, all right here in the midwest.
Prairie's Edge Farm is nestled on 30 acres, between the Kansas prairie & the Missouri woodlands. Together, Lynn & I have spent over 30 years in public service in law enforcement & the fire service. We hold honesty, integrity & service in the highest regard and understand what it really means. |

Prairie's Edge Farm is a fourth generation family farm, w/ample experience in the livestock industry. Lynn worked on the family farm until college and was thrilled when Prairie's Edge Farm came to be; it was like coming home to him. I enjoy knitting, crocheting, felting, and have dabbled in spinning.
We are members of ARI, AOBA & the local affiliate, MOPACA & the NAAFP. We are proud Foundation Members of the Mid-America Alpaca Show & the Mid America Alpaca Foundation.
The MID-AMERICA ALPACA FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit organization which receives proceeds from the annual show to assist in the education and development of alpaca care & knowledge for our veteranarian's now & in the future. The proceeds from the annual show have helped the MAAF establish an on campus alpaca teaching herd at Kansas State University. Yes, new vet students work with alpacas on a daily basis, and that can only help our industry!
Now, let's talk PROFIT FROM FIBER!! --NAAFP
We are members of the North American Alpaca Fiber Producers Coop (NAAFP) The North American Alpaca Fiber Producers Cooperative(NAAFP) seeks to address the need of Alpaca Fiber Producers who desire maximum profit return as well as the production of superior products from North American Alpaca Fiber.
The NAAFP has been created to establish the highest level of quality products produced in North America for Alpaca Fiber Producers who have their fiber sorted by a Certified Fiber Sorter.
Lynn and I have both completed the Certified Sorter Course and are presently apprenticing for full Fiber Sorter Certification.
