 About Zen Alpaca:
Zen Alpaca is nestled on nearly 30 acres of beautiful Upstate New York country side. Our farm is a secret garden tucked behind majestic towering pines and abundant native foliage.
We are a small farm dedicated to the alpaca lifestyle. After several years of research, including trips to South America, we purchased our foundation herd in 2005. It is our goal to breed for superb fleece and conformation while maintaining a manageable and environmentally friendly working farm. Our breeding program is highly selective as we strive to continually improve genetics to produce alpacas with beautiful, uniform, lustrous fleece, gentle handle and correct conformation. We invite you to come and visit our alpacas to see how a dream of establishing an elite herd while having time for a little breathing space comes true.

Zen Alpaca is proud to take the care and breeding of our animals very seriously. Each breeding is thoroughly evaluated and hand selected to meet our high standards for our animals. We practice Camelidynamics as taught by Marty Mcgee and always use respect and trust as working perameters. Zen Alpaca is an environmentally friendly business where we respect the Earth and practice organic gardening. It is the home of a charming little farm store located in the stables called The Fifth Sun. We specialize in Professionally Sorted Fiber and hand spun and hand dyed yarns. Our gifts shop also offers beautiful finished products from the fleece of our animals and a variety of unique gifts. Stop by for a farm tour or inquire about our classes in fiber art.
