About Santa Claus Alpacas

 It is hard to believe what has transpired since July 2005, when I first saw a commercial on television about alpacas. Now, 4 years later, we are officially " Santa Claus Alpacas". We have both Huacaya and Suri alpacas with 80+ animals now on our farm. Next year we are also expecting 25 more crias! We have also recently purchased 4 herdsires who are ready to go to work!
For us, the opportunity was a perfect fit. You don't have to be around us long to see our love for animals - inside our home we have 12 parrots and outside are our 6 dogs. Three of these are Guardian livestock dogs for our alpacas. We already had pastureland and a nice sized barn. With only a little fence work, we were able to purchase our first animals and bring them home.
July 1-2009 Update. We have just relocated our farm to Fillmore, Indiana just 25 minutes west of Indianapolis. Brett's job transfer put him up in Terre Haute, and we were thrilled to find our new home with 22 rolling acres. We will miss Santa Claus for sure, but our alpaca venture had outgrown our acreage. Seeing the alpacas in their grazing in their lush fields of green made the agony of moving worthwhile. |

| | Breeder Biography
The Creation of Santa Claus Alpacas is a perfect fit for our love of animals. In addition to our alpacas, we have 12 Parrots and 6 Dogs. Brett is an Emergency Room Physician, wanna be Farmer! Lu is a retired teaching tennis professional. Our oldest son, Jason, graduated from Indiana State University with a Degree in Criminology and is now stationed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky. Hunter & Ryan are our 21 year old Identical twins who are Juniors at Western Kentucky University.
