Hi guys, I want to try out showing. I went to one show to see if its for me and it didn't look out of my ability. Id like to have some fun with it and meet some folks. I thought it would be cute for my husband and I to get polo shirts that have our farm name in small letters on the front pocket. Some where I read we should have plain shirts. Whats expected? Thanks

In the ring, you can't wear clothing with logos or farm information when showing your alpaca in front of the judge, but everywhere else at the show it's fine.

If you can, volunteer at a show. My husband and I were 'gate keepers' at our local show. It's a great opportunity to talk to all the breeders, see their animals up close, and then talk to the judge and ring steward between classes. Great insight from that.
You can't have any identifying indicia (logos, farm name) while in the ring, but you can as gate keeper -- gets your name out there. The "no name" is the only thing we were instructed to watch for, and have the indicia either taken off (e.g., a jacket) or covered up (with tape). It's recommended to have conservative dress, black slacks, white top or similar, but we saw everything come through. Also, black halter and lead on the animal (but, again, we saw other colors come into the ring).
