"Copper", as she has always been known here, is our top producing female. Every cria she has had for us has been a show ribbon winner!

  640 Peruvian Admiral Grey
Medium Rose Grey, 845231, Full Peruvian

Admiral Grey is a rose grey son of 6 Peruvian The Saint, well known herdsire from the Stachowski breeding program. Admiral is a well-balanced animal with excellent conformation and bite. His fleece is fine (20 microns in 2004, 21 microns in 2005), dense and crimpy from topknot to toes. We are excited about what he has added to our breeding program.

Admiral's crias all look like peas in a pod, clearly marked as his offspring. This tells us that he is prepotent, and will stamp his crias with those traits. His crias' fiber is very consistent from shoulder to hip, great lock structure, a low amplitude high frequency crimp style, and with exceptional density and coverage. They look like clones! He has thrown mostly fawns, with a couple of darker offspring.

Admiral's crias are doing well in the show ring, winning ribbons in Level IV and V shows. The judge's comment favorably on the fineness, staple length and character of their fiber.

Adagio's pedigree is 3/4 Peruvian with such well-known names as P. King Solomon and 6P The Saint. His fiber is very fine with nice long staple, and crimp from skin to tip. He has good conformation and a perfect bite

Adagio is the product of one of our all-time best-producing females crossed with P. Admiral Grey, our modern rose-grey herdsire. Adagio carries the stamp Admiral puts on all his cria, with excellent long staple and fine fleeces, and the strong conformation and bone structure of his dam.

Adagio took third place in a very competitive brown male class at the 2009 Southwest Regional Show under Judge Sharon Loner, who credited his fiber fineness, brightness and character for his placing.

Because our barn is too full, we are offering Adagio at pet-alpaca pricing, but he will sell with full reproductive warranties and can be used as a breeder.
