GLR Amelia

White, 1441284, Full Peruvian

GLR Amelia was our very first alpaca, purchased as a juvenile in 2004. Amelia is the daughter of dark silver gray 4P Condor. Amelia’s dam is GLL Alita, who was the high selling suri alpaca at the 1995 Celebrity Sale Auction. Amelia is a full sister to 2005 AAA Futurity Gray Color Champion GLR Amelita. Amelia herself earned a 4th place ribbon in a large, very competitive class which included the eventual Color Champion and Reserve Color Champion at the 2005 MaPaca show.

Amelia has an awesome, phenotypic suri head, and fine penciled locks to the skin, and she has produced the same in her offspring.

Amelia’s first cria, who was our first cria, was MICH Belle Isle, who was born in 2006. We could not have been more pleased with Belle Isle. A nationally prominent alpaca veterinarian called Belle Isle one of the best juvenile female suris he had seen in a long time.

  USA Peruvian Jaguar
    Dark Brown, 1158427, Peruvian

USA Peruvian Jaguar is a full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo dark brown son of Accoyo Kalvin (Jackpot son). Jaguar's dam, Jewell, is a bay black Macgyver daughter, and she's no slouch either. This combination of quality genetics, including Bruxo, Starbuck and Jackpot, has proven to be something to get excited about. Jag's perfect conformation, excellant substance of bone, very uniform and extremely dense lock structure, and nice wedge shaped muzzle, have made him a standout in the showring. In fact, one judge commented as I tried to move out of his light...."Don't worry...I don't need light to see THIS luster!"

MICH Drummond Island  (Multiple Champion)

Drummond Island is the total package - excellent conformation, penciled locks and luster throughout, and beautiful suri style. Combined with his glowing copper color, he is a head turner. At the 2010 Michigan Alpaca Breeders show, Judge Dawn Brooker commented on his "exquisite" fleece and "this is what we are looking for in the suri breed". This is no surprise since his full Peruvian pedigree includes Kalvin, Macgyver, Jackpot and 4P Condor.

Drummond's sire is USA Peruvian Jaguar, a full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo dark brown son of Accoyo Kalvin (a Jackpot son). Drummond's dam is our GLR Amelia, a full Peruvian daughter of 4P Condor, who has very fine, penciled locks and who has consistently produced exceptional offspring for us.

Drummond was shorn for the first time in 2010, and his regrowth looked even better than his first fleece, with corkscrew locks to the skin and still his excellent luster.

Drummond Island is ready to be put to work in your breeding program.
