June 3rd Mercedes presented her 6th cria. Her 4th daughter. Bred to Cactus Jack, who needs no introduction, This cria was over 20lbs and is a pure white, healthy girl with tons of curls and crimp already showing promise for our breeding plan and herd growth.
Castanet has arrived and is Mercedes 5th offspring. Castanet is a 3/4 accoyo white female. Her sire is 6x champion Accoyo Craftsman by Goldsmith. Show season in the spring will be a great time to meet Cassy in person and see this cute girl.
Her 4th cria, Maestro, was born on September 16, 2008. Maestro is a light fawn male out of Charles P Atlas.
Her third cria, Mandolin, is a 3/4 accoyo female beige out of Stratosphere.
Her second cria, Princess Viola, is a Medium Brown Female out of HAA Camalot's Triumphant Son.
Mercedes first cria was out of 369 Peruvian Orion (2002 AOBA National Black Male Reserve Champion) and she gave us a True Black male.
Where do I begin...I saw Jack as a youngster and fell in love. His phenotype, then and now, was absolute perfection. His pedigree offered exactly what we were looking for as a compliment to our other herdsires. He was not for sale. So I watched him walk into show ring after show ring, and win, and win, and win. With every banner and ribbon he seemed to be moving further out of reach. But I decided not to give up, and with the help of some wonderful friends (and now partners) we were able to become the proud new owners of Cactus Jack when we purchased him at the 2007 Breeder's Choice Auction.
What makes Jack so special?
Perfect phenotype: balanced proportion, erect presence, straight legs, correct bite, gorgeous head, luxurious coverage, rich color, soft handled fleece, tight crimp, tremendous density, long staple, well organized bundling, and much more.
Terrific pedigree: Guellermo(LB), Epifania(W), and Jeronimo(B) on his top side. Silvio(MSG), Campanilla
Sonata is featured in the Winter Issue of the 2015 Alpaca Magazine on page 44. Read about this wonderful girl!!
This year Sonata produced a total weight of 5 pounds of very webby, soft and crimpy fiber. Her fiber is amazingly soft and webby. She will enhance a dense more coarse male.
Daughter to MFI Peruvian Cactus Jack, he needs no introduction with his many many awards and fantastic genetics. Passing his lineage on to Sonata with names such as: PPeruvian Guellermo (Peru), Jeronimo, PPeruvian Epifania (Peru), CPeruvian Silvio (Peru), My Peruvian Concordia and 5Peruvian Campanilla (Peru).
Daughter of Mystic Meadows Peruvian Mercedes, also a winner in her own right, has a great lineage to give to Sonata. Genetics from such names as: CPeruvian Accoyo Amadeus (Peru), Peruvian Ophelia, CPeruvian Speranza (Peru), Scotts Royal Gold, the famous and very well-known PPPeruvian Royal Fawn (Peru) who Mercedes is Granddaughter to and 6Peruvian Lizbeth (Peru)
Sonata was never shown in the show ring as we stopped our show traveling. She is by no means a pass by. Call for appointment and see her in person.
In her prime, Sonata is ready to begin her breeding program to a farm that is serious about fiber.
A free breeding one of our herdsires is offered at time of sale.
