Altair's Amber

Medium Fawn, 1154177, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Amber took color champion at the Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver! Mike Safley was the judge and was impressed at how fine her fleece was. At the time she was about 17 micron.

  NWA, Ltd. Haldane
    White, 826872, Full Peruvian

Haldane is a Hemingway son that will take your breath away! An outstanding example of top line genetics. His fleece is fine with an abundance of sheen and vitality, along with beautiful architecture. He is dense, has a silky soft handle and his coverage is head to toe. His namesake, Roger Haldane, is the original alpaca pioneer from Australia, who selected and owned Haldane's dam Esmeralda (from Rural Allianza, Macusani) whom he then had mated to Hemingway. The result if this thoughtful breeding is spectacular. Haldane's offspring are winning championships too! Not to mention he has done well with producing lots of girls! When bred to white we get white offspring, but when bred to color, often Haldane will let the dam's color genetics come through.

Price is negotiable & will consider terms. Fonroes was named after Carson Fonroes Haines (Ron's dad) who passed away just a few days before she was born. She has done us proud with a Best Crimp award, tied for 2nd highest fleece score, Reserve Color Champion and a first place. Her fiber is awesome! Her first cria was a male we named Carson. Carson went to Japan in May 2012 to carry on his mom & dads great fiber traits. Her 2012 male Touche' is one of our herdsires. He is awesome! His sire is Xanadu P Vaccoyo's Reprise, a color champ in his own right. Her 2013 cria was Riley, another awesome male of breeding quality who has been sold as a breeding male. Fonroes has not been for sale until now as she has been part of our breeding program. Since we have decided to retire we are selling our Foundation herd. Otherwise we would be keeping Fonroes. She just had a white female cria on September 12, 2015 out of Steeler. Her name is Dinah and she has been sold.

I'm sure she would have continued to do well in the show ring but we decided to start breeding her.
