Dark Silver Grey, 999999, 3/8 Bolivian, 5/8 Peruvian
What a wonderful surprise our Balboa baby was!!! We expected beautiful locks and luster, but we never expected to get gray!! What a rare color Lilly is. Lilly also has a wonderful personality even when pregnant. Lilly is tall and straight and is loaded with twisted locks of black and gray. Lilly has long "super model" legs and showed that "look at me" attitude on day one. We are thrilled with her!
Lilly comes from Grand Champions on both sides of her predigree, so that show ring presence was a given. Her maternal grand dam, Ameripaca's Lorraine, won Grand Champion in every show she was entered in. In those days, her grand dam even competed against males! Lorraine still shows extreme luster and lock structure and is now twelve years old! Lorraine, a warm white, had a sire who was a dark fawn vicuna. We believe that is why Lorraine's daughters are throwing gray. Lilly's dam, London, is a true black who shows her dam's extreme luster, tight ropey locks, and above ave

Bachelor is the beautiful son of two grey parents, Sire-AABC Admiral and Dam-Caprice (Import), and also has a grey paternal grand dam. Bachelor has an awesome Suri phenotype with tight locks to the skin rarely seen in grays. Bachelor also belongs to an elite group because of his fiber statistics (AFD 20.3, SD 5.1, CV 25.1, %>30 4.3). Bachelor has a beautiful short triangular head covered in fleece (something he probably gets from his paternal great-grandfather, Peruvian Aureo). Bachelor's luster is also outstanding. Bachelor is tall but not too tall, and has a beautiful stretch. To those of you within 400 miles of us, we offer drive-by breedings at a discount.
If you are breeding to achieve elite fiber that is <20 microns with high luster, that also has the tight lock structure winning in the showring, consider Bachelor. We also think Bachelor has the high probability of producing grey.
Bachelor's first crias are arriving and they are beautiful!!!
Emma comes from a strong gray genetic line through her dam line and her herdsire, so we were not surprised that she is a beautiful shade of dark silver gray. Emma is also the granddaughter of 17x Grand Champion Macgyver's Balboa. Emma's dam, Lilly, is a wonderful first time dam, and Emma shows that greatness by her weight gains and energy. Emma is the leader in the cria games, and is just as big as her slightly older half sister, Zuri. They were best buds from day one. Emma's distinctive coloration is further enhanced by the luster and fineness of her fiber. More photos coming.
Emma is available for lease for her 2019 cria, but will soon be bred to our Luna Rosa's Silver Trifecta. After that, she will still be available for lease for the 2019 cria, but for a 50% increase in price.
