Sienna is the dam of our Reserve Color Champion - Dona Josefina. As well as being the matriarch and guardian of our herd.
Heritage on sires side is the Ghengis khan line. On Dams side grandsire was Light Rose Grey and granddam was Medium Rose Grey. Lots of dense, dense fleece with nice topknot and coverage down to toes. Sienna is very calm, friendly, easy to handle, delivers easily, and has plenty of milk. She also passes on her calm demeaner and regal presence to her crias.
Sienna produced her first Rose Grey cria in 2010 at the ripe old age of 11, and a second one the next year, 2011 - out of our herd sire, Don Gregorio (True Black). Both are beautiful Medium Rose Grey's with low micron fleece that has nice crimp and brightness.
Greg has sired 3 Classic Rose Gray cria's a son in 2010, a daughter in 2011, and another son in 2013 out of our Dark Fawn, very average foundation female. His RG son took 2nd place at GWAS 2011. Judge Peter Kennedy said he is consistent in color and crimp throughout fleece.
Gypsy is a beautiful daughter of our True black herdsire Don Gregorio. She is probably the most touchable alpaca you'll ever come across (with the exception of her daughter who is also very touchable and not afraid of people).
Gypsy inherited her disposition from both her sire and dam. Her dam (Fawn) was one of our foundation females, actually the first alpaca we bought in 2004 because she came up to us to be petted - we fell in love. Gypsy's sire, Gregorio (TB), was born from another of our foundation females, he was a huggable little boy from the moment he hit the ground - always came around to be petted. Although, now after many years of breeding he avoids us if he can, but still is unafraid of people and is a very easy going male.
Gypsy's fiber numbers are very decent for a Rose Gray female, see below. She also has ribboned at multiple shows. She, of course, is halter/lead trained and easy to work with.
Gypsy's first cria was a female, a carbon copy of herself - the sire was True Black. This little female cria changed between birth and shearing to a beautiful Silver Grey.
Gypsy was bred to a son of Aussie 38 Special, Neversummer's Manchester, and birthed a very nice male cria (crimpy, crimpy) that looks a lot like his sire.
Gypsy is bred to Patron of Blazing Star Ranch for a September 2017 cria. This is a very nice male who is a multiple banner winner.
