  MSA Hemingway's Bogart

A truly remarkable Hemingway son, he's still got it all, at age 11! Bogart retains his elite fleece as well as his flawless masculine conformation and naturally (never trimmed) perfect bite. Heavy bone, great density, large working units driving a very healthy libido, yet ever the gentleman. This combination of characteristics is nearly impossible to find. I know because I looked for a long time to find a stud with Bogie's combination of lingering fineness, extreme uniformity, sustained fleece curvature, and absolutely correct, solid confirmation. Gorgeous deep chest and strong straight forequarters, well sprung barrel. perfect hindquarters and leg articulation, built like a draft horse. See fiber data on right for 2009-2011; see earlier shearing history at NorthwestAlpacas.com.

This young dam is the whole package. She has size, conformation, bright white fine dense fiber. On top of all that she has the EPD values that indicate she can pass on her fiber quality characteristics in all fiber traits. This is an important foundation female for Colusa Riverside Alpacas. We are very excited about adding this fabulous girl to our foundation. We purchased this dam because she was a daughter of Bogart and knew would have top and bottom Hemingway genetics. There are going to be quality breeding enhancements for the next few years which can bring Colusa Riverside Alpacas into world class EPD animals. Bianca's most important EPD is her staple length. Not only are we breeding for fineness, coverage, and longevity, but what made the purchase perfect was her fiber weight and staple length potential. This girl is one of two on our ranch with exceptional staple length EPDs.

Bianca is a Bogart girl and the strength of this breeding dam is her staple length. She is now proven with a beautiful first cria out of an El Nino line breeding. Her offspring will have EPD's in the AOA 1% club we are certain. .
