Welcome to Indiana, Hero!!! In a joint venture with our friends at Safehouse Farm Alpacas we have acquired Accoyo Hero, an Elite full Accoyo male that will be starting his breeding career in 2009. He will be part of our new breeding program venture called LAKE EFFECT that will be bringing diverse elite genetics to northern Indiana and Illinois.
Per Dr. Norm Evans skin biopsy results: Density: 85.5 follicles/sqmm Secondary/Primary ratio: 15.5/1 Secondary fibers average 16.3 microns Primary fibers average 22.7 microns Dr. Evans notes that these numbers offer a 'strong genetic trait' that is passed on to offspring. Hero is in the upper 0.5% of all alpacas tested for density. He is carrying on the El Nino legacy. Couple this with the fact that Hero's dam's side is known to maintain extreme fineness into adulthood and Hero could just be your Hero. Want this kind of density in your herd?
Accoyo Hero rounds out our herdsire breeding strategy. He is conformati
We are down sizing our herd. We are not getting out of the business just slowing down. All of our alpacas are, minus our grey male who is already spoken for, are buy one get one of equal or less value fifty percent off. If you act fast you can also have this years fleece after they are sheared. These prices are not indicative of their value and they are all registered and micro chipped.
This is a very special little guy, he has beautiful crimp and he is is nursing from two, sometimes three, different females. He pretty much rules the roost over here, don't know what he will do when he gets older and some of these girls put him in his place, but for now he knows he is special and is enjoying it. His dam is a true black with PPPeruvian Royal Fawn in her background and his sire is our own herdsire, Hero, full accoyo. As you can see in one of the pictures he does have a small medium fawn spot on his neck, about the size of a quarter.
