Romo's Marcelina   

Medium Brown, 1244809, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Marci is a daughter of Mile High Rhapsody's Romance (JA JFK son, Peruvian Yupanqui grandson). On her dams side Don Raphael (grandsire-LSG), Rosario (G.Grandsire-LSG), SA Karrington (GG. Grandsire-MSG) as well as Peruvian Leon, genetics. Both sire and dam have silver grey throughout their lineage and Marci shows some of that grey coloring coming through in the dusty look of her face. Marci exhibits correct confirmation, very dense, dense fleece and an added plus is halter trained and easy to handle.

Most of the time taking only one breeding to become pregnant, she also consistantly delivers her cria right at 11 months gestation or at most 11 months & 1 day - very easy to plan for. She continues to be a very attentive mother, a trait I'm sure she learned from her own mother. She has delivered 4 cria - 2 females, 2 males (one with 17 micron and one with 18 micron fleece). Marci is an easy keeper, very healthy and carries her cria easily and plenty of milk at delivery.

Greg has sired 3 Classic Rose Gray cria's a son in 2010, a daughter in 2011, and another son in 2013 out of our Dark Fawn, very average foundation female. His RG son (Ouray listed on this site) took 2nd place at GWAS 2011. Judge Peter Kennedy said he is consistent in color and crimp throughout fleece.

Greg's 2010 CRIA's fleece numbers were:
Son's numbers: 14.9 micron, 2.9 SD, 19.3 CV, 0.6 %>30
daughter's numbers: 18.4, 3.3, 17.8, 0.5 %>30.

Greg sired a True Black male in 2011 out of a Dark Fawn female and his numbers (2012) were: 20.7, 3.8, 18.6, 2.7. This male sold very quickly as a yearling. All of Greg's offspring have been friendly and this one was no exception.

He sired another cria in 2013 that is dark brown with his neck and legs fading into true black. This one out of a dark brown female.
