Juliette's EPDs are more than respectable. She is in Alpaca Owners Association EPD data base 1% ranking in Medullation and fiber weight. 1% in any one trait is a rare animal when you consider the hundreds of thousand alpacas in the United States. When we bought her we did not know her EPDs and bought her for her ability to bring fiber density offspring to compliment our EPD focus. We have now had 3 cria out of her, each have beautiful fiber, no conformation faults, so she is turning out to be a very valuable foundation dam.

What a wonderful outcome of the breeding of our Juliette to Snowmass Snow Cloud. A joining of Accoyo and Snowmass. Snow Cloud has been honored by AOA for being in the top 75 animals in the nation for expected prodigy determinations across all fleece traits. That is truly a major accomplishment and sure to make this girl something special, not only in her fleece character, but her genetic capability.
Queen has it all. She is compact, square and her personality is absolutely unique. She's friendly and curious. Juliette brings that Accoyo fiber character mixed with the genetic predictability that her future EPDs will give her. No doubt her histogram will be wonderful. We keep breeding back to Snow Cloud, because he is that good.
Hopefully, Queen will also be gifted with her mother's density and staple length. Queen will certainly be one of most important foundation dams. A great candidate for embryo transfer when the time comes. Queen's fiber is very fine. Upon visualization she appears to be approximately 13-14 microns. (I was spot on with her 2016 AFD at 14.7) She has exceptionally long staple length, and density is good. Ultimately what grabs you is her luster and brightness. She has very few guard hairs in any given sample. What is especially good is her SD at 3.7, making her uniformity quite good, to match her fineness and staple length. To match the actual fiber quality as evidenced in her histograms, her genetic capability is also very good with her outstanding EPD values, and here they are:
